Harbour Pointe Retirement & Assisted Living Center

(Letter received Feb. 2012).
Dear Ann:

I have been blessed to entertain your residents at Harbour Pointe since it opened. Since I provide music for over 125 retirement homes, dementia care facilities and senior centers from Bellingham to Seattle...your building stands out as The Best!

What do I mean by The Best?

You can tell a lot about a retirement facility by the way you are greeted when you walk in the front door and by the way they answer the phone. You can also determine how your loved one will be cared for by the faces of those employees who are there. I have seen many retirement homes in my 40 years of playing for seniors, and there is no facility that even compares to the level of care at your building. Even the way that I am treated is always courteous and thoughtful; from the front desk, to the way your residents are served in the dining room. I see the contentment of your residents on their faces and their appreciation for the way they are cared for.

Being a full-time firefighter/musician, caring for people is what I am all about. And when I see a consistent attitude of gratitude in the way your staff conducts themselves, it starts from the top (Ann) all the way down, it allows me to feel comfortable in referring your retirement home to all my friends who are dealing with having to find a loving and caring environment for their parents to feel safe and to be treated with respect!

Ann, you have always been a super, awesome person and you hire staff that reflects your ideals with love and respect for those you have been entrusted to provide a safe and fun place to be active and to thrive in their "Golden Years"! I hope this outside observation I have given you inspires you to continue to do the things for your residents that just come so natural for you!

Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to play the music your residents remember and that bring back so many memories!

Sincerely, Gary Lee Hood
